The Schamrock Organizers

The Schamrock Festival of Women Poets was founded by Augusta Laar. Since 2009 she is presenting in her Schamrock-Salon women poets in Munich and has established a singular forum for women poets. The first festival took place in 2012.

Together with Sarah Ines Struck she is organizing the second festival in October 2014.


Augusta Laar

born in 1955, lives in Munich and Vienna, artist, poet, musician.
Freelance teacher for poetry, perception and sound, f.e. German Goethe-Institute, Vienna Poetry School, Jeunesse Vienna, Wiener Festwochen Vienna Festival, House of Literatue Muich etc. Publications for anthologies, magazines and radio. Awards for electro-acoustic poetry and photography.
Directed the discussion series Poetry-Talk in Munich, Vienna and Luzern (CH) and founded With Judith Nika Pfeifer the experimental lyrics project viennapoetics. Electro-acoustic Poetry-Duo „Kunst oder Unfall (Art od Accident)“ with Kalle Aldis Laar.

Sarah Ines Struck

born 1970 in Düsseldorf. Daughter of German writer Karin Struck, chairwomen of the Karin- Struck-Stiftung e. V. Lives in Munich since 1998 . Author, publisher and copywriter.
Magister Artium in German and Oriental literature and philosophy at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel.
She publishes poetry and prose. Her poetry debut „liebe geht durch die haut“ appeared in 2007. Many publications in anthologies. Participated in 2003 in Augusta Laar's mailart project „Madonna says ...“ and the crossart project „Die Bibliothek der Aphrodite (Aphrodite‘s Library)“ by cyprus-british artist Mary Plant.
As a publisher she heads the Storia Publishing House. As copywriter she creates and communicates ideas and texts for public relations and advertisments, intra-, internet and web 2.0. Since 2011 co-organiser and curator for the Schamrock Festival of Women Poets.

Barbara Yurtdas
