The Schamrock Festival of Women Poets 2014

To change the world with creativ anger and poetry. To open new perspectivas on our world and the arts. Such are the intentions of the Schamrock-Festival of Women Poets, inviting in October 2014 for the second time to a big reading festival, crossing borders and embracing all generations.

The 1. Schamrock-Festival of Women Poets zwo years ago in Munich was the first of its kind worldwide and 'a total success', as the influential Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote. The participants' enthusiastic reactions, the response of the audience and the special creative atmosphere motivated us to continue the festival as a Bienial.

This time we expect more then 50 poetesses from Austria, Finland, Galicia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, Slovenia, Turkey, the Republic of Tuva (Mongolia) and the USA. From October 24th to 26th they will perform poetic texts in readings and many cross-over-projects on the 2nd Schamrock-Festival of Women Poets at the Pasinger Fabrik Munich.

Before the three-day poetic marathon in Munich Schamrock invites to one festival day on October 20th to the Vienna Literary House, on occasion of the 90th birthday of celebrated poet Friederike Mayröcker.
